I spent countless hours getting the look of this V-Rod exactly how I envisioned. The entire frame has been painted an eye-catching gloss white to serve as the perfect canvas for intricate details. Up front, a 26” triple tree and matching fork covers establish a radical rake. The rear features a swingarm kit extending the overall length to balance the stretched stance. Both front and rear fenders were custom-shaped and upholstered in diamond-stitched leather for a high-end, integrated form.

Billet covers replace stock engine and water pump housings, complemented by a high-flow air cleaner assembly and Vance & Hines exhaust system. Additional touches like perforated brake discs, remote oil cooler, and color-matched rear lighting complete the look with race-inspired elements. In all, I aimed for a bike that catches attention while retaining Harley’s iconic styling cues.

Harnessing the V-Twin’s Raw Muscle

As awesome as the bodywork turned out, it was crucial that this V-Rod had performance to back up the flash. The Revolution 1247cc V-twin engine naturally produces ample torque and character. My mechanics optimized airflow while a dyno tune ekes out every last pony, for a total of 125 raging horsepower. A set of low-restriction exhaust headers paired with the V&H mufflers unleash the engine’s full voice.   Chassis upgrades were also installed to transform straight-line brawn into total handling prowess. A heavy duty swingarm maintains stability despite the stretched wheelbase, while adjustable rear shocks enhance comfort and control. Dual front Galfer discs bring serious stopping power to match the engine’s output. Shod with a muscular 130mm front tire, this V-Rod carves corners like a true streetfighter!

Crowning Glory of a Lifelong Passion  After two years and over $60,000 invested, this V-Rod represents the pinnacle of my custom motorcycle passion. The bike exemplifies quality craftsmanship with perfect panel gaps, brilliant paint, and blemish-free components. Having covered just 17,000 kilometers, it runs and rides every bit as beautifully as it looks. As far as I’m concerned, this is the ultimate representation of what a modified Harley V-Rod can be. Owning this V-Rod has been a dream come true. I’m hopeful fellow motorcycle fans can appreciate the countless hours and attention to detail that went into its creation. It brings me joy knowing this bike can serve as inspiration for other builders, just as past customs have inspired me.
